Hi, what if I told you that it was possible to literally take a picture of your heart and see what your risk of heart attack was?
My name is Dr Warrick Bishop. I'm a cardiologist and I have a special interest in trying to prevent people having heart attacks in the first place.
Well, it turns out there is technology that allows us to take a picture, literally inside, looking at the health of your arteries. This is cardiac CT imaging, undertaking a test called coronary artery calcium. Now, that test is not for everyone, but if you're a male 50 or a little bit over, or a female 60 or a little bit over. Or you've got risks that might put you at increased risk of heart attack, things like a bad family history or raised cholesterol, it might be appropriate for you.
I've put together the Virtual Heart Check so you can have a look at whether this sort of testing is right for you or not. Follow the link attached to this video and see if it is the sort of testing you should be considering.
Take care. I wish you the very best. Bye for now.
