Hi, my name is Dr Warrick Bishop. Have you ever wondered about the circulation? Yes, the blood flying around in your body? Well, one way to think of the circulation is to think of it as a circular irrigation system for the body where blood comes in from one side of the body, the venous side of the body, where it goes through the lungs and then goes out through the arteries in a circular way, out to the organs where perfuses the organs, giving nutrients and oxygen, and then comes back and does the whole trip again in a circular way.
