Hi, my name is Dr Warrick Bishop and welcome to my Healthy Heart Minute. Today, a quick word on Repeat Scanning of the heart.

Now, international and national recommendations around repeat scanning for someone who's had a zero calcium score is in the order of three to five years, leaning more towards five years for the average population, maybe a little bit earlier for people who are younger with very high cholesterol levels or a family history. In my practice, some people who I've imaged and commence therapy on, I will offer repeat imaging and I'll do that at about five years so that we've got a real opportunity to re-evaluate the changes that might be inherent from the intervention. Anyway, it's a fascinating area and surveillance seems like a sensible thing.

I've done a podcast on the very topic below. Please click the link and have a listen. I'm sure you'll find it fascinating. For now, however, I'm going to wish you the very best. Take care and bye for now.
