Hi, I'm Doctor Warrick Bishop, and I'm a cardiologist and an author, and I'm also the creator of the Healthy Heart Network.
I have a genuine interest and passion for the prevention of heart attack. That's why I wrote this book. Today's video, though, is about a Facebook group that I'm putting together, and I'd like to invite you to join.
Well, why would you be interested? We're basically talking about the risk of heart attack. We're talking about things like association vs causation; how current risk predictors work, and what the future offers for us.
The group may be particularly suited for individuals who have a family history, or maybe high cholesterol, people who could be interested in their blood cholesterols or lipid profiles, and people who may be interested in statins and their benefits or not for them as an individual.
We're really looking for like-minded people who want to be proactive, want to be informed, want to be educated, want to be engaged in a forum where we can discuss and share and work together around some of the issues that are really important for heart health.
